As those who have visited this page as of late, or not so late, might have guessed, this section is no longer really being maintained.  Unfortunately I just don't have the time or drive to read every story which is posted to the R.A.A.C.  As such I'm putting this page on permanent hiatus, until such time as I can reread every single fanfic stored within the archives.  Needless to say, this won't be any time soon.  I'll leave these up however, as they are still fairly useful in identifying some good reading material for those days when nothing but Ranma will do.  Enjoy. 

Altered-Destiny

• Contains the Switching Heirs storyline in which Ukyou was chosen by a free Happosai as his heir and the results thereof.

• A series which outlines the Ranma which we all know and love entering a world where he never took up Martial Arts.

• A continuation series which deals with some of the Ranma cast going to college, including a married Ranma and Akane. Mainly here because it was the first fanfiction I ever really read.

• A series of alternate fics tied together by each of the characters getting a wish which alters reality granted and vanishing from the original timeline.

• An alternate reality series in which Ranma and Ranko are twins, it has a fairly depressing ending though.

• A series which centers upon Ranma being frozen in his female form in an irreversible fashion and the effects which follow-something of a dark fic.

• The ultimate in Ranma crossovers, this covers a wide variety of series with Ranma ultimately picking up at least a few more suitors in each. Not terribly serious but it's a lot of fun to read.

• A Magic Knight Rayearth/Ranma crossover, the only bad thing about this series was what eventually happens with the rest of the cast besides Ranma, much of this is shoved into a side story however so it can be avoided.

• One of the better series I've ever read, Shampoo 1/2 diverges from the original timeline early on when Shampoo and Ranma both meet in their initial trip to Jusenkyo. After getting a pair of matching curses Shampoo travels on with Ranma and thus begins a fantastic story.

• Toltirr, a God of Chaos, created a competition between beings of power to create alternate timelines, the best of which would be allowed to continue at the end of the competition. This contains a number of what are basically idea's and teasers for alternate reality fics, a few of which have been continued many others which haven't.

• One of my favorite series this is an alternate timeline which diverges at the Herb storyline and leaves Ranma stuck as a female. It then goes on to study the affects this would have had on Ranma-overall one of the best fics I've ever read.

• This story begins during the time Ranma is in Junior High with Ryouga and it is at this point that a divergence occurs from the original timeline when Ukyou discovers Ranma's location.

• Ranma gets hit on the head and thinks he's a girl.  During an attempt to cure him a hidden side of Kasumi's personality comes to the forefront.

• An alternate universe in which essentially the same events take place and in the same manner, but its given a different twist-pretty good.

• At the moment just a prologue but one which looks fairly interesting as it deals with Ranma and his curse, definitely one of my favorite subjects.

• Ranma has an ill-advised wish granted and returns home to a "normal" life.

• If you really need me to tell you what this one's about�

• Ukyou and Ranma date as man and women respectively to hide Ukyou from her father and Ranma from his mother.

• Cologne is apparently dying of old age when she disappears and a young woman shows up to be rescued by Mouse.

• A short parody which essentially turns the personalities of a number of the major characters around and then assigns the blame.

• Ranma and Akane actually talk when the engagement is announced and a plan is formed to break it up.  Namely Ranma is to go to school female to try and force their fathers to break the engagement.

• Ranma has a weak constitution after an accident which killed Genma and turns out more than a bit like Nabiki-really rather good, I wouldn't mind seeing some more of this fic.

• Ranma is the God of Justice, Belldandy (mortal) makes the same wish Keichii does with him.

• Two years after Kasumi is granted a wish by Skuld the last bugs which interfered with its completion are tracked down and Kasumi is given the ability to achieve her wish.

• An interesting story in which Kasumi is granted a wish by Skuld, and decides to wish for a daughter just like her.

• After a disastrous wish the three Goddesses are eliminated from a timeline by a disastrous wish, however two other wishes by one Ranma Saotome and Kimiko Tendo respectively manage to ameliorate some of the damage.

• A disturbing, and quite funny, look at one resolution to the Saotome/Tendo decision to unite the clans.

• Ranma is 85 and Akane has just died-Ukyou prevents him from willing himself dead and a pretty interesting idea is developed while they adjust to each other again.

• Ranma gets a wish from the Goddess Helpline, but the...less than adequately trained...goddess who attempts to grant his wish makes a slight mistake and he ends up in a funny little world ruled by the Dark Overlord Nabiki--very amusing.

• A short story in which Cologne makes a mistake, and we get to see the results.

• Akane and Ranma were trained together due to yet another pact made by Genma and Soun and she gets the opposite of Ranma's curse.  I like the fact that Akane is cursed however her being as good as Ranma in the Martial Arts strikes me as wrong.

• Ranma is a bit more beautiful than before, perhaps _too_ beautiful causing a whole new set of problems-good.

• A short fic crossover with Batman its worth the small amount of time it will take up if one should choose to read it.

• Ranma goes into secondary cat-fist whereby he absorbs the abilities and strengths of those around him-a bit dark but the idea's pretty cool, as is his new personality.

• A child named Miko shows up and Ranma claims it as his own, writing style isn't terrific but the story ideas aren't bad.

• Ranma flees after the curse temporarily losing his memories, falls in love(?) with Ryouga and accepts the curse-writing style isn't terrific but the idea is funny.

• Ranma and Akane talk at the beach and eventually kiss when a wave hits them, Kuno sees this and it goes from there-pretty funny.

• A pair of gods guide the Ranma crew to an interesting future-touches on my beliefs a bit oddly enough.

• Alternate universe where it is realized that Ranma is a man after he beats Shampoo.

• A Dragonball crossover which seems to have some potential from what I have heard of the direction it is going to take.

• A good fic which is basically a continuation of the episode of Ranma in which he lost his memory and thought he was a women. Well done and rather believable, one of my new favorites I think.

• Ranma's Dad and Mom died leaving him an orphan, he and Ryouga are friends and apparently dojo-yaburi (Dojo Destroyers), I wouldn't mind seeing this one continued.

• My pick for the best of the Ranma gets split into two beings fics, while I don't especially like how weak Ranko ends up it does seem to be working fairly well all told.

• Ranma falls in 'Spring of almost drowned Akane' and Akane falls in 'Spring of almost drowned Ranma'.

• Ranma finally learns the facts of life-rather amusing short fic.

• The Tendo sisters are enslaved by the Amazons for their parents teaching Amazon techniques without permission and Ranma saves them-only a teaser but it could be fun.

• Urd transports Ranma to the Eva timeline after he is rejected by Akane for an extremely poor reason.

• Ranko, Ranma's daughter, is briefly chosen as an Eva Pilot.  Ranma decides she won't be one after an accident but ends up training the remaining pilots.

• Ranma gets transported to 2015 and is in a 14 year old body without the curse, he and Rei get together.

• An introspection fic, sort of, in which we get a look at the "true" faces of a number of the Ranma cast.

• A simple look into the past of the Tendo family, and more particularly an important aspect of Akane and how it acquired its place in her soul.

• Akane learns the secret to how to cook.

• A short but funny twist on the Tofu/Kasumi relationship.

• Another one shot comedy, this one throws in some switched personality's-rather funny.

• Azusa falls in love with Ranma, and perhaps vice-versa, after a deal placing them together to skate with Principal Kuno-well written and fairly plausible.

• Ranma's curse is transferred to Akane after a wish and it goes on from there.

• Nabiki becomes Ranma's fiancee to con him but something blooms between the two.

• Set in the same universe as Fragile Clay, this details some of the conversations held with one of the few who were aware of all the little strings of that knotted tapestry--without managing to give away the ending (which hasn't been written yet).

• Ranma and Akane are best friends and live together, Ranma being rather rich, they have to start pretending to be fiances after a joke Nabiki plays on them with Kasumi backfires.

• Decent Ranma/Gargoyles crossover.

• Decent Ranma/X-men (Gen-X technically) crossover.

• A story in which Nodoka decides to help Ranma "understand her femininity with masculine determination", something which primarily consists of some training in how to be female-very very funny and well written.

• A Wheel of Time crossover which places the Ranma characters within that universe but doesn't interact directly with it, is also I believe a crossover with hakkenden, an anime or manga I'm not familiar with-decent idea's thus far.

• A fanfic which deals with Happosai going on a rampage with 'Spring of Drowned Bishojo Bride' water-funny at times.

• A good tale which covers Ranma discovering an additional aspect of the curses of Jusenkyo as well as something about himself-pretty good idea and writing.

• An odd, to say the least, story involving Hiroshi and Daisuke pondering their existence.

• A good crossover with Highlander in which a few of the cast of Ranma are immortal and some of the results

• A short spoof about the controversy surrounding how the martial artists of Nerima would do against guns.

• Ranma and Ukyou slowly start getting closer as fiance and fiancee.

• Daisuke has Happosai switch him and Ranma with a special powder.

• Ranma comes to Kasumi to try and get an answer to a problem he's been worrying about.  Rather amusing.

• A story which asks: what if Ranma were not the hero, but the villain of the series? A fairly dark story in which a Ranma with all the benefits of the original but almost none of the compassion and honor comes to the Tendo dojo.

• Ryouga receives a cure for his curse at a rather awkward moment and ends up teaming up with Ranma to discover the culprit-comedic, first person style.

• Ranma and Akane's places are switched by a spell for a day-decent one shot.

• An odd alternate reality short fic which is written as someone having an interview with the 'Wild Stallion', the ending is good and the rest of the story is rather well written.

• Ranma is stuck in female form, series goes from the trials he faces looking for a cure to the end when he deals with what it means-a bit dark.

• Ranma and Kasumi go on a trip together and the results are...unexpected, to say the least.

• A short but amusing tale which describes the Tendo household's reaction to finding out that Kasumi is pregnant.

• A rather twisted tale of someone who envies Kuno and does something about it.

• A story of Kodachi discovering Ranma's curse-rather well done.

• A small story where Ranko is a sorceress, it's good but to tell the truth the only thing I saw of Ranma ½ in it were some of the names.

• A fairly amusing little piece of fiction, detailing the true power and might of Ranma Saotome...sort of.

• A parody in which Ranma, after a small talk with Ukyou as a child, _wants_ to be a girl�and all the females in the series want _her_-I've liked what's been written thus far a lot.

• A story set some time after the end of Ranma 1/2, Akane is producing a film when she comes across a young woman who has a link to her past--well written and interesting plot.

• Ranma finally makes a choice and it ends up being Ukyou-simple enough premise but it's really well done, I can't wait for the next one.

• Ranma is kidnapped by Cologne and taken to the Amazon Village to be married, Akane and Ukyou go after him-my favorite type of ending. *grin*

• Ranma falls in the spring of drowned twins immediately after getting cursed, Ranko and Ranma fall in love and need to be near each other.

• Kasumi eats some fall in love spice and falls for Ranma, this opens a door even after she has been cured-good story.

• An interesting short story telling a small tale of Akane and how she attempts to find out the truth about Ranma once and for all, along with the results of said attempt.

• Nabiki and Mousse try to get Shampoo jealous by dating.

• A Ranma/Lupin Crossover in which Lupin is attempting to steal the Ying/Yang Cups, which are hidden in Nerima. Unfortunately for them they have to take a short trip to Jusenkyo to find its resting place.

• Genma tells Ranma that he was kicked out till he's a "man among men" rather than on a training journey, this gives him a far greater reason to train-and far more focus.

• A story in which Kasumi falls in love with Ranma.

• A very interesting tale revolving around Nabiki and her actions when confronted with a Kuno to lethargic to take money any money from--well done and enjoyable.

• After leaving his father, Ranma goes about trying to get cured and make a new life for himself, eventually ending up in Jubaan.

• Ranma and Hikaru after the loss of their loves find comfort and the ability to heal with each other-well done.

• A side story to .duet-of-pigtails that details some of the home life that Hotaru and Ranma have together and some of the problems of a less than epic nature they might encounter.

• A rather amusing tale which draws upon the not too original idea of some of the Ranma cast switching bodies.

• One of the more amusing tales of Ranma and Akane, one of the few stories I've liked that explores an issue I'd rather watch the anime or read the manga to enjoy.

• A short alternate fic where the Tendo's meet up with the Saotome's in China in order to be on neutral ground for the engagement-starts out strong but then deteriorates rapidly in quality near the end.

• Pretty much exactly what the title says.

• An interesting idea for a fic where Ranma, after receiving a head injury, imprints upon the first person he sees upon waking up.

• Akane and Shampoo fall in love after an odd challenge Akane makes in hopes of defeating Shampoo.

• Ranma and Kasumi have a heart to heart on the roof for New Years Eve.

• This asks the question of what would have happened if Shampoo's kiss had been given with slightly different intentions in mind.

• Ranma learns of what could be a beneficial side-effect to his curse, though its nature makes him uncomfortable.

• A story of Yuka and Ranma-rather well done and not something I've seen elsewhere.

• All that really need be said is Gosunkugi and Spring of Drowned Harlequin Romance Hero.

• Ryouga's brother comes to Nerima after an extended stay away.

• Jusenkyo curses are permanent which leads Ranma to studying magic in order to look for a cure-liked this one a lot actually, claims dark fic status.

• What if it had been, not Genma, but Nodoka who took Ranma upon his training trip...? Obviously from the title this particular interpretation has some interesting ideas on the subject.

• Ranma makes a wish on a falling star asking what his life would be like if he married each one of the girls and its answered in a rather unusual manner.

• Here we have a slightly displacement in time and space which results in a rather more powerful than normal Ranma returning to Japan after an extended time away.

• A Ranma and Akane fic which takes a look at one possible method of dealing with Akane's violence when it gets out of hand.

• Shampoo is kicked out of the Amazons after losing to Moose and Ranma saves her from committing suicide-a good story with a very plausible method of Ranma and Shampoo getting together.

• Ranma is a scientist who is developing a method for seeing other dimensions and visits the Ranma we all know and love with some unexpected side effects. *grin*

• Ranma born Ranko, Akane born Kaneda, enough said.

• Genma dies, Nodoka raises Ranma as a woman to marry Kaneda.  Continued in rankos-life-s.

• Ranma and Shampoo begin to become closer after Shampoo improves by learning partial cat-fist and Ranma is challenged by it.

• Ranma receives a ring from a mysterious "benefactor" who claims this is the solution to his problems, the results are less than beneficial however when Ranma's female form is turned into a genie subservient to whosoever holds the ring.

• Ryouga rapes Ranma and the daughter wants vengeance seventeen years later-dark but well written.

• A fun little spoof combining Ranma and Cinderella.

• A short story detailing a mysterious romance which Ranma is engaged in as Akane and Nabiki listen in.

• Before Ukyou's father passes away, he aquires a promise from Genma to take his daughter with him when he leaves, giving Ranma the sister he never had.

• Risa Saotome lives with her Aunt Nabiki, and has since she was four years old, she's now twelve and has begun asking once more about her father.  Well written and a nice read.

• An alternate fic starting with the question of what would have happened if Ranma hadn't recovered from the stream of water in his battle with Kodachi-good.

• Ranma and Akane's child Ranko, who's a bit of a ditz, shows up from the future and is trapped there for awhile-pretty funny.

• A wide variety of "out takes" during the "filming" of Ranma-very amusing.

• After Ranma's death Urd grants Akane's wish for a second chance with him-pretty good.

• A sequel to autumn-and-spring about the attempt to cure Shampoo in the same manner that Ranma and Ukyou were made young again.

• An interesting idea involving the neko-ken.

• This story expands upon the story 'Faux Existence' and begins with a certain red headed lady beginning a new life-a well done rewrite of an already good story, making it one of my personal favorites.

• Ranma gets a ring and learns the consequences of a wish to be rid of his fiancee's.

• A look at what the Xi-Fang-Gau shiatsu attack could do if it were used properly, an interesting concept which I haven't seen used before.

• Ranma comes home with a cure for his curse, however the consequences of his search may be greater than those around him are prepared for-I like the last few chapters much more than the beginning.

• A story in which the Saotomes had _two_ sons, one of which they were forced to give up in adoption to a pair of friends, the Hibiki's.

• A continuation of sorts to .girl-days, Ranma and Akane are taken along on a little adventure to an alternate reality when they run across a wizard who wants to help Destiny along.

• While not quite a crossover, it's also not quite a fusion, however it did manage to catch my eye when Ranma meets up with Lina and tries, with some small amount of success, to eliminate his current problems.

• The Slayers cast takes a short walk through the Cursed Springs of Jusenkyo, nothing can go wrong, right?

• In a small twist of fate, Ranma is left an orphan and raised and trained by Happosai, before he eventually leaves him to go stay with some of his remaining relatives--the Tsukino's.

• An alternate reality/crossover in which the temperature of the change with a Jusenkyo curse depends on the victim.  Ranma and father train as usual however Ranma's curse ends up with an extremely high temperature.  Starting in the 1600's I assume the Senshi will come into play when it reaches modern times-I've really begun to like this tale.

• Akane dies and Ranma moves to Juuban to escape the memories in Nerima.

• Usagi replaces Akane as the youngest Tendo sister and Ranma's fiancee.

• After acquiring an artifact from Happosai Ranma has lived many lives and has become powerful and skilled-as he progresses further in the story it seems to rapidly deteriorate and become more chaotic.

• Ranma Tsukino has looked out for his little sister Usagi for as long as either could remember, however this comfortable situation is about to come to a halt as both their lives catch up to them and certain secrets are revealed.

• While turning Ranma into a magical girl of phenomenal power and ability has been done before, I doubt its ever been done so well or with quite the amused, or perhaps bemused, tone this is written in.

• Here we have a tale of a Soun and Genma who actually decided (or were at least prodded) into thinking before they introduced their children-nicely done and an interesting concept.

• The story of Kuno and his obsession with the pig-tailed sorcerer Saotome-a very interesting look at this truism of Takahashi's world.

• Cologne and Happosai offer to Ranma their training but he must choose between the two.

• A story depicting a Genma whom the fates have apparently turned against, various events escalating throughout the fic to exemplify all that he had done wrong.

• An original presentation of an alternate reality where Kasumi and Ranma meet as children and strike up a lasting friendship, well written and thought out.

• Ranma's soul merges with the soul of the author (making it a partial self-insert fic) and he knows what is to come in the future.  While it has some good idea's, though I've seen some in other fics, the writing style could use a little bit of work.

• An interesting story which tries to explain one of the characters within Ranma who doesn't even have a name.

• The Tendo's are slightly startled when three sisters claim the dojo for their own and oddly enough it's not Ranma's fault. The true story, however, begins when Nabiki and Kasumi are brought into the event as primary participants.

• When Akane goes out shopping she runs into a little store called Spells R Us, this details a few of the more interesting results of said trip.

• A very amusing short story in which Ranma takes the easy way out as implied in the title, over the strenuous protests of his fiancee's.

• The Nerima situation is incredibly predictable�or is it? Another short fic dealing with the hidden lives of the Ranma cast.

• A short dialogue between Ranma and one of the others about the life which Ranma leads and eventually what to do about it

• A poor beginning in my opinion with little logic behind it, but the connection to Tenchi-Muyo is done in a way I haven't seen done before which might have potential.

• After being cursed Ranma is splashed with Chisuiton water freezing him in his form, Genma remembers a secondary pledge he made to engage a daughter if he had one to Tenchi-very good.

• A very good reason for Akane and Ranma not to get together, brings up a very pertinent question about their relationship-good writing, extremely dark.

• A number of alternate fics which are presented in a form which parodies the Bet format developed by Gregg Sharp.

• Sequel to ranma.love-and-marriage which I wish would be continued.

• Nodoka takes it upon herself to fix the mess which is Ranma's love life, creating a contest in which each fiancee must prove herself, and ending with amusing results.

• Akane has a debt of honor to repay, and has decided to do so by cooking her guest dinner.  This particular guest is a...bit out of the ordinary though.

• A story in which Ranma finally tires of his current situation-only one chapter done but it looks like it could be good.

• Three young martial artists, Ranma among them, hunt down a Genma who is running from them due to an act he committed upon one of their number.

• A continuation story of sorts in which Ranma leaves the situation behind, this story starts five years or so after and tells of his last encounter with the Tendo's-one of the better first person story's I've ever read.

• A story which essentially follows the tried and true formula, in its first part, of trapping Ranma in his female form. It goes into some depth as far as his character and introduces a new variable, the ending was a bit disappointing for myself, but I enjoyed the rest of the story.

• A spell goes wrong for a mage attempting to summon a demon and he ends up with far more than he can handle, namely Ranma--fairly interesting.

• An amusing little story with a good ending.

• A novelization of the manga story line about the koi fishing rod.

• Ranma has a dream dealing with his curse and comes to a realization about himself-I liked it.

• The _true_ reason Ranma and Akane must marry.

• Explores what would happen should Ranma and Kasumi fall in love.

• A rather interesting tale about an elementary school in Nerima, just a short fic which deals with a question relating to the curses in an interesting manner.

• An amusing little short fic in which Ranma learns that Ryouga has developed the perfect form of his Shi-Shi-Hokodan and in his normal style comes up with a counter to it--the key to the success of this story is how he does so.

• Genma and Soun are both cursed by Happosai and die before their children are born, Nodoka raises Ranma to be a great martial artist in accordance with Genma's last wishes.

• An alternate universe which on the surface appears to be much the same as the one we already know so well. However small undercurrents, and eventually a very large undercurrent, appear as you read further in.

• A tale depicting one of the next generation of the Ranma cast and the lengths he will go to discover their parents and their friends past.

• A story set after Ranma 1/2 ends, which in this story is about a week after the events in the second Ranma 1/2 movie, detailing the attack of a former foe--I mainly included this because of the mysteries which I was curious about.

• A teaser about Toraneko, a tiger with the same curse as Ranma, whom the Saotome's befriended and is now looking for help.

• When Ranma starts having dreams and acting oddly, some research into the Neko-ken is deamed necessary.

• A comedic story with a few serious elements, it looks as if Ranma and Ukyou may get together in the end.

• Shampoo turns to magical potions and tricks in this particular story, in an attempt to lure Ranma to her, however the results are messed up after Ryouga interrupts and a small mishap could end up causing Shampoo a great deal.

• A crossover with Urusei Yatsura, the gang from Tomobiki win a trip to China and end up visiting Jusenkyo. Upon returning home they begin to interact with the cast of Ranma--a decent crossover with another of Rumiko Takahashi's works

• Ryouga is killed by an unknown assailant before his time-crossover with Yu Yu Hakusho.

• A decent story which is basically one those which attempts to tie up every relationship in the story in some manner or another.

• Many authors use the Spring of Drowned Twins to split Ranma into a male and female after gaining his curse. This is one of the better stories I've read describing what might have happened if that had been the _only_ spring he fell in.

• A tale about Kuno and a small attack by a werewolf-better than I had expected and one of the few Kuno tales I like-verges on being a lemon though its not in that group in the Archive.

• Ranma and Akane are not engaged but meet each other outside of that situation.

• Ranma is killed by Akane in an unusual situation and Botan comes to tell him he's eligible to come back to life-hasn't done much yet but I've liked a lot of the crossovers I've seen with this series.
